Pure Mathematics is where strong methods matter. The aim is not to memorise isolated tricks, but to recognise structure, select an efficient route and show enough working to earn the marks. Use the main course to learn each method, practise it and compare your reasoning with fully worked solutions.
Algebra & functions
Strengthen manipulation, equations, inequalities, indices, surds and the algebraic techniques that appear throughout the course.
Graphs & coordinate geometry
Connect equations to graphs, transformations, straight lines and circles so that visual and algebraic reasoning work together.
Trigonometry & calculus
Develop the trigonometric, differentiation and integration methods needed for later AS questions and mixed problems.
Exam approach
As questions become less routine, first identify what the question is really testing. Write down the relevant relationship, substitute carefully and keep algebraic steps visible. The course is designed to move from method fluency to questions where you must decide what to do for yourself.
